I cannot count how many times I’ve heard people say to themselves, “How stupid I am,” or “An idiot like me,” or “I am so incompetent,” or “A fool like me.” And maybe they deserve such words or terms, especially if they are busy serving the devil. Even the Bible says that anyone who says in his or her heart that there is no God is a fool (Psalm 14:1), and anyone who does not believe in Him is condemned already (John 3:18). Or how else can we spin it when the things that we see daily are not enough to convince someone that this world did not come to being through a big bang or some accidental event but have been perfectly designed by a divine and ageless God who calls the shots.

However, other than being an ungodly person, there aren’t any reasons why we look at ourselves in the mirror and think that the person we are seeing is an accident who could do no good. Though each of us is unique in certain ways, there is zero evidence that your own uniqueness means you’ve been created to fail. In Psalm 139 verse 14, the Bible says:

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

This scripture says a lot. Being fearfully made means that God pays rapt attention to the formation of each being that He creates. Now, it is unbelievable that the God who sat back and looked at His creation and exclaimed that everything He made was very good, would have made an exception for you by creating something that is not good. Even this can be mathematically proven!

To those who believe that God does not love them, you only need to look at what He did when we hated Him. In Romans chapter 5 verse 8, the Bible says:

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

While we were still sinners means while we hated God, while we did not believe that He existed, or while we did not accept His sovereignty over us, or while we were enemies of God. Notwithstanding our disposition toward God, He sent His only Son to die for us. This is love that is not and cannot be matched by anything we have seen or known.

To those who believe that God does not know them or does not think about them or has no plans for them, see what the Bible says in Jeremiah 29 verse 11:

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

There is not a second that God does not see us or think about us. He is not affected by volume, so don’t say there’s 7 billion people and how can He see you. He is not distracted by activities, so don’t think that other people’s problems would make Him to not pay attention to you. He is not afraid of your needs, so don’t say that you are too demanding, and He may not have the resources to address your concerns.

Stop hating yourself. Even if we disagree on some things, we must agree on the facts that, you’re not an accident, God created you uniquely, you’re not too short, you’re not too tall, your complexion does not matter, your family background is not a hinderance, God loves you, He wants you to succeed so He has included in your features what you need to succeed. You’re not doomed, you’re not stranded, you’re not a fool, you’re not an idiot, you’re not retarded, you’re not incapable of stardom, you’re not hopeless. You need to wake up from your depressed situation and say to yourself, wait a minute, I can succeed, and I will.

PLEASE ACT NOW:

If you are yet to give your life to Christ, you do not have a covenant with God and His promises do not apply to you. To come under these promises, please surrender your life to Christ today, by praying this prayer:

Lord I know that I am a sinner and I am unable to save myself. I am sorry for my sins and I pray that you please forgive me. I am aware that Your Son Jesus died for my sins and I accept Him as my Lord and savior. I surrender my life unto you from this moment. Please take control of my entire being and help me to be obedient to your Word, going forward. Thank you, Lord, for hearing me. I have prayed in Jesus’ name. Amen.

If you prayed the foregoing prayer, you have just been born again. Please find a Bible believing church in your area and ask to see the pastor. Let him or her know that you have just given your life to Christ and s/he will guide you on next steps in your journey as a child of God. The Lord bless you!
