It's amazing how some people elevate themselves beyond the level of God. While some do not acknowledge Him at all, others believe that there might be a deity called God, but they believe they are wiser than Him and can take their own decisions without Him interfering. Some are even infuriated if you mention Jesus around them. They feel like you disrespect them and have no regard for their position, power, or authority.
When God sent Moses to Pharaoh to let His people go and worship Him, Pharaoh was infuriated and quizzed, “Who is the Lord that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go” (Exodus 5:2). King Nebuchadnezzar was just like Pharaoh; he designed his own god, made of gold, so it was something superior to any other god and made him very happy that he had arrived, then he commanded everyone to worship it, until he met a group of guys who knew their God. They simply told him No, because they had their own God, the only living God to worship, and He was capable of delivering them from the furnace of the king. The king was furious, “And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands?” he asked (Daniel 3:15c).
Now, everyone needs to realize that just because we preach God as a loving and caring God does not mean that He is the equivalent of our earthly mom or earthly dad, to whom we sometimes speak anyhow, and nothing happens. I’ve heard stories of people saying to God, if you don’t do this thing for me, I will not worship you again, or you are no longer God if you don’t solve this problem or that problem. To that I say, seriously? Do you think that God exists or survives at your dictates? Are you supposing that God is diminished in some way when you stop worshipping Him?
In the parable of the talents, Jesus gave the example of a man who was traveling to a far country and called his servants and gave talents to them to work with. The first two guys invested theirs and multiplied them, but the third one just went all out for the master and told him how he hated him because he was a cheat and a crooked man who reaped where he did not sow, so he decided to punish the master by burying the talent in the ground where it yielded nothing. You know what the master responded in Matthew 25:26-30?
‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
God cares and loves us greatly, more than any earthly parent, but nothing is without limits. If anyone wakes up one day and suddenly decides to be on a collision course with God, I say good luck to the person, because Matthew 21:44 does not have good news for him or her. Do you hate God? I suggest that you repent because Deuteronomy 5:9 does not like you either. Are you so proud and believe that you’re your own maker and do not need God? Please have a rethink because king Nebuchadnezzar thought the same way as you are thinking, but by the time God finished with him in Daniel 4:28-37, he was never again arrogant before God.
No matter what you do, just don’t raise your finger against God, because He does not wake up one day and design evil for anyone. He loves you enough to send Jesus Christ to come to this world and lay His life down for you by dying the most horrible death on the cross. Things might not be going well but He is not responsible for that. Before you say anything to Him, remember that He is your Creator and the Bible says that the created cannot question the Creator on how he or she was made. The same God who created Moses created Pharaoh also.
In your highly placed and exalted position, please give all the glory to God. Believe it or not, you cannot be where you are if God said No. In all we do, let us learn to acknowledge Him. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present God. Nothing happens without His knowledge and just one Word from Him settles all matters. We are who we are because God says so. Worshiping Him is to our own benefit, and not worshiping Him does not drop an hair from His head. What would you rather do?

PLEASE ACT NOW:
If you are yet to give your life to Christ, you do not have a covenant with God and His promises do not apply to you. To come under these promises, please surrender your life to Christ today, by praying this prayer:
Lord I know that I am a sinner and I am unable to save myself. I am sorry for my sins and I pray that you please forgive me. I am aware that Your Son Jesus died for my sins and I accept Him as my Lord and savior. I surrender my life unto you from this moment. Please take control of my entire being and help me to be obedient to your Word, going forward. Thank you, Lord, for hearing me. I have prayed in Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you prayed the foregoing prayer, you have just been born again. Please find a Bible believing church in your area and ask to see the pastor. Let him or her know that you have just given your life to Christ and s/he will guide you on next steps in your journey as a child of God. The Lord bless you!
