Evolutionists actually believe that their ancestors evolved from animals, like monkeys. It is amazing how they believe that the descendants of animals would behave any differently from animals. Doesn’t the science, on which they base their theories, prove them wrong? Because in the few years that I have been on earth, I have never witnessed, nor have I heard of any story, where a cat gave birth to a mouse. If, as we often rightly say, the offspring of a lion is a lion, then how can anyone possibly expect that their future descendants, no matter how many millions of years in the future, would be anything but human. If their ancestors were apes or monkeys, why have these creatures not evolved into humans? Why are they still apes or monkeys, millions of years after Charles Darwin (or other evolutionists) alluded to, as the period humans evolved from these animals? I am no expert in this theory, so please pardon me if I misrepresented anything.
Just as the crisis of evolution remains till today, the Jews in Jesus’ time did not believe that they couldn’t behave differently from Abraham while claiming to be Abraham’s descendants. They accused Jesus daily, took up stones to stone him on many occasions, did everything that Abraham wouldn’t do, yet they claimed to be Abraham’s offspring. How confusingly contradictory!
In John chapter 8, they argued vehemently with Jesus regarding their ancestry. In verse 33, they argued, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been in bondage to anyone.” Well, seriously? They showed to Jesus what murderers they were, by wanting to stone Him to death, then at the same time they were not in bondage to anyone, even sin? To clarify to them who they really were, Jesus declared to them in verse 44:
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
Today, many people wallow in sin daily, and when they complete a form and see a field asking for religion, they proudly enter ‘Christianity.’ How distorting. Does not the Bible state how implausible this claim is? Does not 1 John 3 say he who sins is of the devil? Does it not say whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him, and he cannot sin because he has been born of God? If you continue in sin, you cannot claim you are God’s children, or how can God be a Father to the righteous and the sinner at the same time?
This Father’s Day, do you know who your Father is? The Jews certainly didn’t, and they could have been calling on the wrong father to wish him happy Father’s Day. What a tragedy. If you do not have God as your Father, this is one brilliant opportunity to do so, by inviting Him into your life. The difference will be very clear when you do this because darkness and light are on opposite sides. You may have been wishing for peace, for purpose and for progress, but no one can give what he does not have. The devil does not possess these beautiful things, Jesus is the only Prince of Peace. Earthly children do not point to just anyone and call them their fathers. They know who their fathers are. More importantly, why wouldn’t spiritual children know who their Father in Heaven is? Surrender your life to Jesus and ask Him to be your Father. This is the only way to avoid a mistaken identity.

Please take control of my entire being and help me to be obedient to your Word, going forward. Thank you, Lord, for hearing me. I have prayed in Jesus’ name. Amen.
