Jeremiah 33:19-22

The popular saying, ‘What goes up must come down,’ was derived from Isaac Newton’s third law of motion, which states that every action has an opposite and equal reaction. If it were possible to live in space, the billionaires of this world would have left the rest of us here to live more luxurious lives up there, but they’ll need to keep trying in order to defeat the law and attain this possibility in the future. More seriously, however, laws are cast and are meant to be obeyed. Scientists discovered many earthly laws after years of observation and experimentation.
The good thing is, there’s not only earthly laws, there are spiritual laws, too. In fact, the spiritual laws are more powerful than earthly laws, because, earthly occurrences are mostly reactions to things that have already occurred in the spirit. Before Isaac Newton discovered his third law, the law of Heaven already stated in Proverbs 26:27 that if anyone rolls a stone, the stone will roll back at him or her.
As God’s children, we ought to operate under the laws of Heaven and, not only obey them, but believe them also. This is what separates Christianity from religion. We’ve got to believe what the Bible says about us. I wrote in the past, in admiration of Jews and their unwavering believe in the blessings of Abraham. I heard the story of one, who wanted to start a business and was asked if he had really prayed to seek the Face of God before starting. His response? As Abraham’s descendants, they could not imagine a situation where they would begin a business and it would not succeed. A study suggests that, while Christians generally hold a larger percentage of wealth than other groups, those who list as adherents of Judaism (Jews) are more than five times wealthier.
Unbelief is an insult to God. Although He wants us to commune with Him in praises, worship and prayers, He places more emphases on faith in Him, or, how else would our worship be true and acceptable if we do not believe the God that we worship. In Hebrews 11:6, the Bible says:
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him
The importance of faith cannot be overemphasized. Women from a particular tribe that I know, have developed so much faith in intramuscular injections that when they fall sick they do not believe that they will get well without it. They have no faith in any oral medication. Medical people, on the other hand, only administer injections for serious ailments, but this group of women wouldn’t leave the clinics and hospitals without injections. When doctors discovered that this was the only method the women had faith in, they started injecting them with ordinary fluid, just so they would go home. Amazingly, they would go back home and would recover from their ailments.
One common phrase we hear over and over in democratic nations is ‘The rule of law.’ The Word of God is Law. In actual fact, the laws of most civilized nations are based on the Law of God. If we put our trust so much in man’s laws, why not in God’s? He even uses the laws we are familiar with to explain His:
And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me (Jeremiah 33:19-22).
What God says about us is law, and like the Jews, we should never imagine ourselves outside of God’s pronouncements concerning us. We are too important to God and we should put ourselves in the position that He puts us in. We are citizens of the New Jerusalem and God is our Defense and King (Psalm 89:18). His Laws are for our good and for our prosperity. Let us study His Laws and never doubt them anymore. In His Laws are liberty, peace, progress, divine health and all that we look forward to. It’s in His Laws that our future citizenship is secured. No one can water these laws down, except us. Stop. Remain blessed and have a wonderful week.

PLEASE ACT NOW:
If you are yet to give your life to Christ, you do not have a covenant with God and His promises do not apply to you. To come under these promises, please surrender your life to Christ today, by praying this prayer:
Lord I know that I am a sinner and I am unable to save myself. I am sorry for my sins and I pray that you please forgive me. I am aware that Your Son Jesus died for my sins and I accept Him as my Lord and savior. I surrender my life unto you from this moment. Please take control of my entire being and help me to be obedient to your Word, going forward. Thank you, Lord, for hearing me. I have prayed in Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you prayed the foregoing prayer, you have just been born again. Please find a Bible believing church in your area and ask to see the pastor. Let him or her know that you have just given your life to Christ and s/he will guide you on next steps in your journey as a child of God. The Lord bless you!
