Ephesians 2:1-12

You may not have felt anything at the moment you gave your life to Christ because being born again is not expected to come with some spiritual gymnastics. However, deep down inside you, it gradually becomes evident that something happened. On the day of your second birth, you go to bed and you discover that there’s one peace of mind that you did not have before. There’s joy in your soul that you did not have before, and suddenly, there’s hope and assurance that your future will be different.
Beyond what you are starting to feel, you also have the Holy Spirit guiding you and helping you to avoid potholes here and there in your journey as a child of God. You discover that some of the things you used to do become uninviting and you just know that your Father in Heaven does not want you to indulge in them anymore. Owing to this gradual change, you discover that you begin to lose some of your friends who notice that you are no longer whom you once were. Some even turn against you and begin to antagonize you in ways that you would never have imagined.
Yet, there’s more. In heaven, your book of records is wiped clean of past records and a new book is opened for you, because the Bible says in Romans 8:1-2:
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Your eternity is changed from death to life, and you begin to make gradual impact not only by living right, but by bringing others to Christ, starting from those friends who are now pulling back from you. You enjoy the things of God and are happy to be in church among brethren. You are eager to learn more daily and you are making additional changes to your life as you attend bible studies and discover new things.
But there’s even more! In Ephesians chapter 2 verses 4–7, the Bible says:
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Sitting together with Christ in heavenly places is a big deal. It means that the things Christ has authority over are also things we have authority over. In Ephesians 1:21, the Bible says that Christ is sitting:
far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
If Christ has authority over principalities and powers, then we do also. If Christ has control over situations and circumstances, then we do also. Imagine your life as a prince in this world. Just by birth into the royal family, many privileges are attached to you without asking for them. You might not even want some of those privileges, but you have them anyways. Now imagine if you are the crown prince. This means you are technically sitting by the king or queen and already have greater influence on affairs of the state, though silently. That you are sitting with Christ means that you have far greater authority and influence than you may even believe, so you need to begin to exercise them.
Knowing Christ means that we are now joint heirs with Him. In Romans 8:17, the Bible says:
and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
You become a principal stakeholder in God’s Kingdom and your prayers begin to change things. That’s where you are now! Old things are passed away and all things have become new. That’s where you are.
If you have not given your life to Christ, please do not delay any longer. The Judgement Seat is real and very scary for those who die without Christ. You don’t want even your strongest enemies to see God’s ‘red eyes’ on the Throne. Please surrender your life today because there is nothing more dangerous than delaying this decision. God bless you as you act now.

PLEASE ACT NOW:
If you are yet to give your life to Christ, you do not have a covenant with God and His promises do not apply to you. To come under these promises, please surrender your life to Christ today, by praying this prayer:
Lord I know that I am a sinner and I am unable to save myself. I am sorry for my sins and I pray that you please forgive me. I am aware that Your Son Jesus died for my sins and I accept Him as my Lord and savior. I surrender my life unto you from this moment. Please take control of my entire being and help me to be obedient to your Word, going forward. Thank you, Lord, for hearing me. I have prayed in Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you prayed the foregoing prayer, you have just been born again. Please find a Bible believing church in your area and ask to see the pastor. Let him or her know that you have just given your life to Christ and s/he will guide you on next steps in your journey as a child of God. The Lord bless you!
