Isaiah 9:6-7

I've never seen a lady who wanted to start a photography business but goes to an auto mechanic to ask for advice. Nor have I been told of a lawyer who wanted to start his own law firm but goes to a convicted criminal to ask for guidance. The person to whom you go for advice can make or kill your idea or help you to build a corrupt foundation upon which your business is sure to crumble. If you go to a thief for advice, he or she will teach you how to steal, and if you go to a wicked person for guidance, you will learn how to cheat. Who is your counselor?
In Psalms 1 verse 1, the Bible says:
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful
If you learn from a mentor, you can perfect your lessons and do better than that mentor in the field you are being mentored. It is not common or usual for you to perfect your lessons in that field and do better in another field. If you learn from the crooked, you can do better and out-crook the person, but you cannot graduate to a saint.
As God’s children and followers of Christ, we have a unique advantage over other people. We have a Counselor who never makes a mistake and never misleads. In Isaiah chapter 9 verse 6, the Bible says:
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
We have a Coach who never sinned and cannot sin. We have a leader who is ever sure of where He is leading us. We have a Mentor on whom we can depend. He is the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Those who know Him can never miss it. His Foundation is sure, and any house built upon it can never crumble. With Christ, you cannot beat about the bush. You cannot grope in the dark. He is the Leader of leaders and the Source of all Truth.
The Bible says the government shall be upon His Shoulder. This means that all authority emanates from Him. He makes the rules. He is the never-failing advocate for those who depend on Him. His birth is unusual, His reign unparalleled, and His precision unmatched. He can guide and influence seven billion people (and more), all at once.
Christmas is not just a period of eating and drinking, and it’s not just a holiday, as the world would have themselves believe. It’s the celebration of the birth of a Savior and the establishment of righteousness. Accepting Jesus Christ into one’s life is the beginning of eternal life of joy in the Holy Ghost. Rejecting Jesus is the foundation for eternal damnation. Don’t just blend with the world in all of these, stand out and be the difference. If you do not know Jesus, there is no better opportunity than now. Merry Christmas and may the joy of this season remain with you through the year to come.

PLEASE ACT NOW:
If you are yet to give your life to Christ, you do not have a covenant with God and His promises do not apply to you. To come under these promises, please surrender your life to Christ today, by praying this prayer:
Lord I know that I am a sinner and I am unable to save myself. I am sorry for my sins and I pray that you please forgive me. I am aware that Your Son Jesus died for my sins and I accept Him as my Lord and savior. I surrender my life unto you from this moment. Please take control of my entire being and help me to be obedient to your Word, going forward. Thank you, Lord, for hearing me. I have prayed in Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you prayed the foregoing prayer, you have just been born again. Please find a Bible believing church in your area and ask to see the pastor. Let him or her know that you have just given your life to Christ and s/he will guide you on next steps in your journey as a child of God. The Lord bless you!
